VH1 Divas Live 99 (1999) is a musical concert special directed by Michael Simon, featuring performances by Whitney Houston, Tina Turner, Cher, Brandy, Faith Hill, Elton John, Mary J. Blige, LeAnn Rimes and Chaka Khan. The event aired live from New York s Beacon Theatre on April 13, 1999, and benefited VH1 s Save the Music Foundation. The concert was a significant success, becoming the highest-rated single broadcast in VH1 history at the time.
